Child trafficking facts:
- There’s 30 million slaves worldwide. 10 million are children.
- Human trafficking generates over $100B annually worldwide.
- Americans are the #1 producers and consumers of child rape material.
- Trafficked children are often part of the foster care system.
- Abusers are often someone who is already in the child’s life.
- The majority of trafficked children are under the age of 12 and can be as young as INFANTS.
- Less than 1% of trafficked victims are rescued.
Let’s change these stats, together.
- Educate yourself and talk about it. Know the signs of trafficking.
- Support organizations that are helping rescue children (listed below)
- Report anything you see online or in person that seems suspicious to your local law enforcement.
- Make sure you’re supporting reputable organizations. Do your research.
This stuff is scary and sickening to learn about, but just IMAGINE the horrors that these kids go through. Our discomfort is nothing in comparison, so let’s do everything we can to end this sick and twisted industry that’s happening right under our noses.
